Unlinking a transponder from your account
Before you sell a transponder you will need to unlink it so that the new owner can use it and update the subscription. Doing this will not remove the subscription from the transponder, Once a subscription is applied to a transponder it is permanent.
At the moment this is only possible on the desktop version of the website.
Firstly navigate to mylaps.com and enter your Speedhive credentials.
Under products, find the transponder you want to remove from your account and click “Manage Product”
Next click “Disconnect Transponder”
If you are sure that this is the correct transponder click “Disconnect Transponder”
Done, The transponder can now be re registered to anyone’s account. Doing this will not remove any existing subscription.
Creating a Speedhive account
First we will show you how to create an account on a mobile device and then below will be the computer version. Please remember to Activate a TR2 transponder you must use a smartphone and for Flex and X2 you must use the computer. You can still create the account on either device.
For Mobile Registrations:
Firstly we need a Smart phone with an internet connection and the app Speedhive installed (can be downloaded from the google play store or the apple app store)
Once installed, open the Speedhive app and click on the “Profile” tab.
Next click “Signup”, enter your details, ensure you read the T&Cs and click “Signup”
Next you will have to open your emails and click on the link Speedhive sent to your email address.
Clicking on the link in the email while on your device will open Speedhive and then ask for your password. Enter a password and click “Create Password”
After that it should log you straight in and you can continue to register and activate your transponder.
For Computer Registrations:
Firstly we need an internet connected computer.
Go to speedhive.mylaps.com and in the top right, click “Signup” and enter your name and email address, Read the T&Cs and click “Signup”
Next check your email for an email from Speedhive and click on the verification link provided.
Next we enter a password to finish the Registration.
Finally if you click on the “My Products” button in the accounts page you can register new transponders and redeem subscription cards.
