Things you will need to get started
Note: a X2 can only be activated on a PC or MAC.
- X2 Transponder Kit.
- PC with internet.
- Speedhive account.
If you don’t have a Speedhive account see HERE to learn how to create one.
Firstly we will start the transponder charging by connecting the RaceKey to the back of the transponder and connecting a USB cable to a computer.
Next log into speedhive.mylaps.com
On the right side click “Register Transponder”.
Enter your transponder Number.
Tranponder is now linked to your account. Here you can download the Mylaps Connect software or follow the next steps.
Under your X2 transponder click the “Buy Subscription” button.
you will be redirected to this page where you can click the “Download MYLAPS Connect” button to download the software.
After Downloading and installing Mylaps Connect if you run it you can then login using your Speedhive account.
Next you will see all the transponders linked to your account.
Once the software detects the race key and connected transponder you can update the firmware and subscription to them.
Please Note: If the X2 Transponder goes completely flat it will need to be charged with the key that it was activated with as the key is the one with the activation information. You can use someone else’s key to charge your transponder but it will not activate it.
From here your transponder is activated and ready to go on your car.
If at any time you want to know about the transponder you can log into the Mylaps Connect app and see when the subscription expires.
